High-performance BMW M3 features V-8 power and returned as a coupe or convertible. M3 serves as the most powerful version of the 3 Series and has four seats, with 414 horsepower -, 4.0-liter V-8 and a generally aggressive styling for BMW M. Competition includes the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG, Lexus IS-F and the Chevrolet Corvette.
Interior
Push-button start and rain-sensing wipers standard. Under the Hood
With 414 hp, the 4.0-liter V-8 revs up to 8.400 rpm. Double-VANOS variable valve timing BMW used, such as individual throttle bodies for each cylinder that delivers enhanced throttle response. A six-speed manual transmission is standard, while the manual seven-speed dual-clutch automatic with paddle shifters is available. BMW says the M3 goes from zero to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.
Safety
As you would expect from a performance car, the four-wheel disc brakes bring the M3 to a stop. Security features include antilock brakes, electronic stability system, side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags (coupe), and extensions to head side-impact airbags (convertible).
